Clinical Supervision & Consultation

At Second Wave Counseling, we believe that every therapist deserves a space where they feel supported and empowered to grow, wherever you are in your career.

For Pre-Licensed Clinicians

Why Clinical Supervision Matters

Supervision is more than case consultation, it's a space to explore your voice as a clinician and connect to your instincts. Whether you’re pursuing your LCSW or simply needing more support, supervision helps you develop confidence grounded in ethical care, lived experience, and personal growth. Therapy is a deeply relational practice and we believe supervision should reflect that.

At Second Wave Counseling, supervision is a place to slow down, get curious, and talk through both the stuck points and the moments of clarity. You don’t have to navigate the complexity of this work alone.

My Approach to Supervision

I’ve worked direct care, behind the scenes, as an in-patient therapist and out-patient therapist, so yeah, I’ve got some experience. I’ve supervised clinicians at every level, from interns to fully licensed staff. With over six years of supervisory experience, I offer an approach that is collaborative, honest, and rooted in curiosity.

I believe supervision works best when it centers:

  • Trauma informed care that acknowledges how systems, identities, and histories show up in the room

  • Harm reduction as a guiding frame that respects autonomy and meets clients where they are

  • Systems-oriented thinking that holds the wider context of families, institutions, and environments

  • Neurodivergent affirming practice that moves away from “fixing” and toward understanding

We’ll explore the clinical, the practical, and the emotional layers of this work. From countertransference to burnout to joy, all of it belongs here.

What to Expect

Supervision can be held weekly or biweekly, currently only accepting individual supervises. I supervise LMSWs pursuing their LCSW and also offer consultation for fully licensed clinicians looking to feel more grounded in their practice.

Together we’ll focus on:

  • Building confidence in clinical judgment

  • Strengthening your identity as a therapist

  • Integrating theory into practice in ways that make sense

  • Honoring both client needs and your own boundaries

If you’re looking for a space to feel seen and sharpen your clinical lens, I’d love to connect.

Let’s talk supervision.

Need Support Now?

In-Depth Clinical Consultation

$200/hr

Sometimes you don’t need long-term supervision, you just need a space to think something through. One-time consultations are available for licensed clinicians who want support around a specific case, dynamic, or clinical challenge.

Consultation can help with:

  • High-conflict family systems

  • Safety and risk assessments

  • Burnout and compassion fatigue

  • Trauma work with clients who feel “stuck”

  • De-escalation strategies and nervous system-informed care

  • Building a neurodivergent affirming lens

  • Personality disorders or traits

You bring the question. I’ll bring curiosity, direct feedback, and space to breathe.

If you’re feeling unsure, overwhelmed, or just want to sanity-check your instincts, this is for you.
