Dori Ginsburg, LMSW

Supervised by Carla Pelcastre, LCSW-S
Associate Clinician | she/they

With a warm, thoughtful, and grounded presence, Dori provides a deeply supportive space for clients navigating anxiety, depression, self-worth, trauma, and identity exploration. Her work blends insight, curiosity, and collaboration, helping clients understand their experiences, interrupt unhelpful patterns, and move toward a life that feels more meaningful and authentic. She works relationally and holistically, honoring each client’s inner wisdom while offering guidance rooted in attachment, somatic awareness, and evidence-based practices.

Dori’s approach integrates CBT, DBT, SFBT, and mindfulness with intuitive, values-based exploration. For clients who enjoy it, she brings in a touch of “woo woo” - inviting spiritual, energetic, or intuitive frameworks that complement emotional and psychological healing. At the heart of her work is the belief that therapy can be uncomfortable and transformative at the same time, that healing often comes from expanding one’s emotional capacity, rewriting internal narratives, and reconnecting with one’s inherent worth.

Her clinical experience includes supporting young adults through major life transitions, as well as individuals impacted by domestic violence, trauma, grief, and crisis. She is skilled at helping clients hold complexity while building the tools needed to move through life with greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding.

In Dori’s therapy room, there is space for every emotion and every version of you. You remain the expert of your life, Dori simply walks beside you, helping illuminate the path forward.

Trainings & Certifications

II received my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin, where I built a foundation in relational, trauma-informed, and integrative clinical care. My work is grounded in attachment theory, somatic awareness, and the belief that emotional healing occurs through both insight and the body’s wisdom.

I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I also draw from attachment-based and mindfulness-informed modalities, incorporating somatic practices that help clients reconnect with their internal cues and deepen their understanding of their emotional landscape. My approach blends evidence-based techniques with holistic and intuitive elements for clients who enjoy incorporating spirituality or “woo woo” exploration into their healing.

My expertise includes supporting individuals navigating self-worth, anxiety, trauma, domestic violence, grief, identity development, and major life transitions. I work extensively with LGBTQIA+ clients and prioritize creating a space where every emotion is valid, welcome, and held with care.

Current Pursuits

I am currently expanding my somatic and trauma-focused training to deepen my ability to help clients access healing through the body. I am also broadening my integrative and intuitive skill set to support clients who benefit from a blend of evidence-based and spiritually attuned approaches..
