Kasey Nightingale, LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) (License #114129) | she/they
Supervised by: Carla Pelcastre, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Board Approved Supervisor (License #67765)
Kasey brings authenticity, compassion, and a grounded, affirming presence to her work with teens and adults navigating depression, trauma, identity, and relationship challenges. Many of her clients arrive feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or stretched thin by caring for others while losing touch with their own needs and boundaries. Kasey helps clients reconnect with themselves, build sustainable coping skills, and cultivate self-trust — all with a balance of humor, gentleness, and practical tools for daily life.
With eight years of experience supporting diverse communities and lived experience as a queer person, Kasey offers an inclusive and deeply validating space for LGBTQIA+ individuals. She is skilled at helping clients explore identity, strengthen emotional resilience, and repair patterns shaped by early experiences, stress, or painful relationships. Her work is rooted in mindfulness, attachment, and relational insight, helping clients understand how their histories shape the present and how to move toward a more grounded future.
Kasey supports clients ages 14+ in navigating self-esteem struggles, coping with intense emotions, and rebuilding a sense of stability and hope. Whether a client is coping with depression, managing the impact of trauma, or seeking clarity in relationships, she offers a collaborative and empowering therapeutic partnership.
A Specialty in Foster Care, Adoption & Child Welfare
Among Kasey's deepest areas of expertise is her work with children, families, and individuals touched by the foster care and adoption systems. With approximately six years of experience in this space, she brings both professional knowledge and personal understanding — including her own experience as a foster parent — to this work.
Kasey has worked directly with families navigating abuse and neglect, supporting those who came forward to report their experiences and walking alongside them through what often feels like an overwhelming and disorienting process. She has worked closely with multiple state agencies to advocate for children's safety and wellbeing, and has experience supporting forensic interview processes through her work with a child advocacy center. Her background also includes extensive case management and therapeutic family support — working with children of all ages, adult children, and parents together as a system.
If you or your family have been impacted by the foster care or adoption journey — whether you're a foster or adoptive parent, a young person who grew up in care, or an adult still processing those early experiences — Kasey offers a space that is informed, compassionate, and free of judgment.
Kasey is currently working toward full clinical licensure and divides her time between private practice and community-based support roles. She remains committed to helping clients feel seen, understood, and capable of meaningful change.
She offers both in-person and virtual therapy sessions at the Fort View office, with flexible availability including evenings. If you're ready to build a more connected and fulfilling life, reach out to schedule a consultation today.
I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Social Work from the University of Texas at Arlington, where I developed a foundation in trauma-informed, strengths-based, and identity-affirming care. My work integrates attachment theory, relational understanding, and mindfulness, helping clients explore the patterns that shape their internal world and relationships.
I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I also utilize motivational interviewing, somatic awareness, and person-centered approaches to support clients in building insight, strengthening coping strategies, and reconnecting with their sense of agency.
My areas of expertise include supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals, as well as clients navigating depression, self-esteem challenges, identity exploration, trauma, and overwhelming emotional experiences. I work with teens and adults (14+) and have deep experience helping clients who feel burnt out, emotionally burdened, or disconnected from themselves regain balance and hope.
Current Pursuits
I am currently completing clinical hours toward full licensure while expanding my training in solution-focused therapy and community-based emotional support models. I am also deepening my skills in trauma-informed and identity-affirming care to better support clients seeking clarity, stability, and self-compassion.
