Kayla Grissett, LCSW-S
Licensed Clinician | she/hers
Kayla Grissett, LCSW, collaborates with Second Wave Counseling to provide therapy services for individuals and families. She specializes in working with individuals navigating trauma, neurodivergence, and high-conflict relationships, offering a thoughtful and individualized approach to healing. By integrating evidence-based techniques with warmth and deep understanding, she helps clients identify patterns, reconnect with their inner strengths, and move toward meaningful change.
She began her career at The Settlement Home, providing care for teenagers in the foster system who had endured significant trauma, abuse, and neglect. She worked closely with youth struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, disordered eating, and attachment issues. This experience equipped her with the ability to navigate crisis situations with calmness and establish trust in challenging environments.
Following this, Kayla joined Ellie Mental Health, a group practice where she expanded her work to include children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She guided clients through a variety of concerns, including anxiety, PTSD, religious trauma, relationship difficulties, neurodivergence exploration, and major life transitions such as divorce or parenting struggles.
Most recently, at Travis County, she has supported adults with histories of early trauma, many of whom have faced housing instability, substance use challenges, and significant emotional distress. She helps clients create sustainable changes, build supportive systems, and work toward long-term stability and well-being.
She offers both in-person and virtual therapy sessions at the Fort View office, with flexible availability, including evenings. If you’re looking for support in building a more connected and fulfilling life, reach out to schedule a consultation today..
